I hope all of you had a wonderful time over Thanksgiving weekend. We certainly did. The next month is an exciting time.  We hope all of you enjoy the family time and celebrations that accompany this season. However, this can be a difficult month for our lap band patients.  There is a lot of delicious food at this time of year.   I would offer a word of warning:  most of it is full of calories and slides past the band pretty easily! Enjoy the traditions, the dinners and the wonderful foods of the season–just be a little careful you don’t overdo it. If you have trouble, don’t hesitate to call. Best Wishes to all of you.

Dr. Ray did my surgery last November 3rd. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Ray and his staff. I’m down around 50lbs. since my surgery and have had no problems.
I was initially denied by my insurance as well. They said that they “wanted more info” from my PCP. Dr. Ray’s office worked with a lawyer out in California, Obesity Law, I think. There was no charge for any of the appeal work…
I was told by someone I go to church with, who had gastric bypass surgery, that it would take a year to get it through insurance and he was right.
